Orbs can be everywhere, and orbs can also be illusive. This photo is one of many taken one late afternoon as I strolled through the woods behind a friends house. We had taken many pictures before, and in the past there was always another person with me. This time I decided to walk alone. Alright, from the number of orbs that appears (in nearly every photo) I was far from alone.

This one made me chuckle. There were other orbs in this photo, this is only one little section, but this one came out bright and curious about the activity I call this one "deer in the headlights".

I've been getting a bit of a reputation as a spirit photographer.

This photo was the result of an evening walk through an area that is thought to be very magical and inhabited by spirits. The man in the photo was playing with his singing bowl, but to no avail, the orbs stayed away.

There was no fog or mist that evening. The sky was clear and it was not cold enough to create any illusion.

This fog-like apparition come to visit, and in the preceding and following pictures it was clear this visitor was moving.

Cave Walking Orbfest

During my cave walk this year I took as many pictures as I could, knowing I would get at least a few orbs. Not only did I get photos of orbs, but also talk figures. Those photo's will be shared over time. In the meantime, here's one of the more perky orbs that followed us on our journey.

Orbs seem more interested in being photographed than faeries or other spirits. Sometimes I get pictures when it appears to "surprise" them, and the following photos are void of any trace.

Happy Orbs in the Park one evening

This photo was taken early one evening enroute to an uptown dinner. We stopped by this beautiful park to take some pictures. It was amazing the number of orbs that appeared, and the size and intensity.

Orbs are attracted to movement and life, and in my experience they do like more lively and happy energies since those energy vibrations are higher than the energies of fear or depression.

Fire Spirits - Let the Music Excite Me!!

During a weekend long drumming event we took photos at the Saturday night campfire. There were many orbs showing in the photos that night, as well as display from the spirits of the fire. They dance and delight at the sound of the voices, the drums, and the festivity.

Fire spirits are very responsive, and as they should they feed off the energy around them. They are not destructive in a negative sense, but are recyclers, providing a service to the world.

Tree Spirit, Little Pixie?

My favorite time for photos is dusk. I get some great photos at other times, but this time of day seems the most abundant when it comes to spirit photos.

I was not sure what to make of this one, it did not have the same appearance as the orbs, and I almost passed it by, thinking of it as a reflection. On closer examination of this photo and the others I took at that time I realized that this was a "one photo wonder", and did not appear in any of the photos taken within seconds, of the same scene from the same position. Hmmm...

When I zoom in on the photo it appears to have areas of more density, creating a star shape that could be interpreted as arms, legs, and a head. The colors are gentle and dispersed, and complement the tree host.

Garden orbs, part 4 of 4

This is the last of four postings, with all images taken from the same photo. At first glance there does not appear to be anything of interest, but life is like that - there is often more than our first impression. Perhaps we should not be so quickly to judge, whether it's a person, or a photo.

I perceive this spirit to be joyful and open, and it appears to have a smiling face. It's aura is bright and vibrant. This one says it is a guardian of the residence, and often visits with the person living here during feeding times.

Garden orbs, part 3 of 4

Remember the photo in the last posting? This is the same big orb at the bottom of the photo, but on greater examination I realized that there was something else in this photo. The tall trees in the background are host to several more orbs, or tree spirits. They are much dimmer in appearance. There are three of them, on the left side of the photo from top to bottom.

Tree spirits do tend to be a little bit "shy", especially around cameras. Is it not their intent to call attention to themselves, but to protect and nurture their host, the tree.

It is believed that every living "thing" both animal and plant has a spirit or being associated with it. Could it be anything like the soul of the human? Is there awareness, purpose, or consciousness in any of these energy anamolies?

Garden orbs, part 2 of 4

This orb stood out long before I could crop the photo. The other two were not seen until I zoomed in one the photo.

The flash of the camera seems to have awakened them, and the larger orb has a more assertive energy. The next photo, to be posted tomorrow, will show what else I discovered when I took a closer look.

Garden Orbs part 1 of 4

This post was taken in the backyard of an old house (over 100 years). Dogs play in this area each day, in fact that's a dog toy in the lower corner.

This is image one of a series of four images cropped out of one picture. The others will be posted over the next few days.

Some orbs have brighter "auras", some with color.

Little orb, you thought I wouldn't see you?

This little orb was discovered "hiding" in a photo taken of me at a drumming healing event. I nearly tossed the photo as it was not the most flattering for me, but then I noticed the orb. The background is lattice, indoors, white.

Several orbs were spotted later as well when we closed the event. Pictures were taken of the group, and some of the photo's showed orbs above "certain people".

We are Never Alone

I love this photo! This was snapped one evening in October, 2008, in a small town in eastern Oregon.

The deer were gathered in front of the house, and one was this buck. I quietly opened the door, keeping dogs at bay, and as I leaned around the corner I snapped pictures. Little did I know what I captured in the moment...

I've been taking spirit photo's for a few years, and I consider it a hobby. I'm also a clairvoyant consultant, working with both people and animals, starting this line of work back in 1981.

There are no houses in the direction of this photo, and the photo was not taken through the window, that certainly would have produced a reflection! No cars were coming, or going on the nearby road.

Deer in the Headlights? I think not...

I really enjoy spending time in nature. There's so many more opportunities for some great photo shots. This photo was taken one evening in Oct 2008. This was the only picture to show orbs, the others didn't show anything "unusual".

The deer did not seem to mind my presence, though I opted to stay in my car and simply lowered the window and stopped for a minute.

In cases like this I don't bother to count the orbs, but as you can see there are many. They were quite curious and taken aback by the flash, for the photos that followed didn't show a single anomaly.

Haunted House or Spiritual Gathering?

The orb photo session continued, with photo's taken throughout this 100+ year old house. It was reported that after our session of orb photo's and the clairvoyant reading of the "spiritual visitor" that the presence of the past tenant disappeared. The spirit visitor was not unfriendly in any way, but it can be a little unnerving feeling a presence when you should be alone.

The small orb at the top is of course the first one noticed, but there is also a much larger orb below that is far more disbursed.

There doesn't appear to be any pattern to where they appear. They show up just about anywhere, at floor level and all the way up to the ceiling.

Haunted House or MultiDimensional Living?

Old houses can be a lot of fun. This particular house is over 100 years old. Can you imagine the history? The owner of the house does not consider herself to be spiritual or gifted, but she stated that she's been aware of a presence in the house.

While visiting we took a series of photos one evening just to see what we could find. Remembering the results I gained when I brought in the playfulness of hunting for dog treats I decided to try another approach. What could I do to make this fun and attract those little orbs?

I learned that piano lessons happened in the parlor in the early 20th century. Bingo! I didn't have any instruments with me, let alone a piano, so I made use of what I did have. I started humming the only turn-of-the-century music I could think of: Scott Joplin. I hummed, and snapped photo's.

The wallpaper in the house does make it a little more difficult to spot the orbs, but they still show clearly enough. What a fun evening this turned into!

Since then I have presented workshops on photographing orbs. I'll post more on those adventures in the future.

Orbs love my Dog

Yesterday I posted information about photographing orbs. The round energy orbs are attracted to food, joining in on a fun game of "dog treat hunting". This large orb appeared in the third round of "chase the treat". It appears there is a tiny orb on the sofa arm as well.

The dog doesn't mind the company on the treat hunt, for they always leave enough treats to satisfy her appetite.

Here's another trick to photographing orbs and other energy anomalies:

Take a series of photo's holding the camera in the same position. Reflections and other light related effects should stay the same. Orbs will move from one shot to the next.

What Attracts Orbs?

This photo contains two orbs. Want to know the secret to attracting orbs into range for photo's? Here's what I learned:

The background - I had just finished a long (two hour) clairvoyant reading session with two of my clients, and we chatted a little after the session. One area we talked about was energy orbs and spirit photos.

After the call I decided to play with the concept a little, and brought out the camera. My camera is a basic digital camera, and has been attuned to "see" orbs, but I have since found it's not the camera that needs the attunement.

I snapped some pictures by the chair where I sat during the reading by phone. No orbs. That didn't surprise me, as I keep the energy very clean and do not allow others to enter the sacred reading space. Onward I went, in search of orbs throughout my house.

I dimmed the lights, and found that orbs are easier to see against a dark surface. The My other finding was that they like playfulness and joy. Ah, there's the secret - call in the dog and play a game of "chase the treat". What better way to add a little excitement!

Oh, look at that ... I count eight orbs in this photo. I noticed in the series of photos that the orbs were playing the game as well, and with each picture they seemed to focus their energy around the areas where the treats were hidden. Smart little orbs.

My Orb Photos - The Beginning

I have been a clairvoyant and spiritual counselor for many years. It has been only the past few years that I have photographed "energy", meaning spirits, orbs, and other energy anomalies.

Taking pictures of anomalies is more of a hobby than anything else. I find it interesting though that orbs and other apparitions appear in one or two photo's in a series of shots that are otherwise "normal". Is there some degree of awareness or intelligence in this orbs? Great question. We can only speculate, but many people have come to the same conclusions.

Some of us think that interactions with spirits are harmful or fearful experiences. That is only because of the intense emotions that accompany those interactions. Joy and laughter are also intense emotions, but pleasant ones. We welcome those emotions, and think nothing of the spirits that are attracted to those warmer experiences. On occasion I am asked to work as a ghostbuster, which for me is an opportunity to counsel someone who is no longer attached to a physical body.
